IMPORTANT NOTE

I provide a guided self-help course for people who are worried about how much they are drinking, but who are not physically dependent or unwell. You can read more about this service here.

Who am I?

I've been a specialist nurse in drug & alcohol dependence from 1994 to 2014 at drug and alcohol rehab clinics. I trained as a psychiatric nurse in 1989 after graduating in psychology. In 2007 I started my own single-handed private practice specialising in treating clients with alcohol dependence, including medicated home alcohol detoxification. I now work full-time in the NHS in a neurodevelopmental disorders clinic. However I still provide a self-help service for people worried about their drinking.

You can check my professional registration here, and read more about me here.

Integrity and honesty

I value my professionalism above all else.

I only take on work which I believe will be safe and effective. If I suggest another service to you I never accept a referral fee or commission from that service; I never pay a referral fee or commission to other services or agents.

Family and friends

I'm happy to see clients with their partner, other family members or a friend.
